PBR World Finals 2027: Dates, Glendale Tickets and Fort Worth Rounds
Understand the 2027 PBR World Finals split between Fort Worth and Glendale, with official ticket routes, package advice, travel planning and format caveats.

The 2027 PBR World Finals open at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 6–9, then move to Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, for championship weekend on May 20–23. Glendale is the 2027 championship destination; a Las Vegas search or an older Texas championship itinerary can lead you to the wrong event.
Official ticket links separate the two cities, with Glendale sessions and a four-day package on Ticketmaster and the Cowtown performances on AXS. This guide uses information checked on October 20, 2026, to help you choose the right weekend, understand what has been announced and plan admission and travel without treating last year's rules or an unverified price as a 2027 promise.
The 2027 World Finals dates and two host cities
The official World Finals hub identifies two separate blocks: May 6–9 in Fort Worth, Texas, and May 20–23 in Glendale, Arizona. Put both the city and the venue beside the dates in your plans. “World Finals weekend” alone is no longer specific enough for a hotel booking, a group invitation or a ticket search.
Fort Worth hosts the opening rounds on May 6–9
Cowtown Coliseum retains the opening rounds in the Fort Worth Stockyards. That is a meaningful part of the championship rather than an unrelated warm-up show. Fans choosing Texas are choosing to watch the opening competitive stage, with the individual title story developing toward the later championship weekend. Check the announced session schedule before deciding which performance best fits your trip.

For a local fan or someone combining bull riding with the Stockyards, this can be the easier destination to justify. The important comparison is your chosen session and total trip cost, rather than assuming that the opening rounds are automatically cheaper or less competitive. There is no need to buy a Glendale ticket merely to make a Fort Worth visit “count”; each booking should match the experience you actually want.
Glendale hosts championship weekend on May 20–23
Desert Diamond Arena hosts the championship stage. PBR's host-city announcement makes the change explicit. Las Vegas held the Finals from 1994 through 2021, and the championship moved to Texas in 2022; the 2027 championship destination is Glendale. An older Las Vegas or Fort Worth championship guide may be useful history, but it cannot identify the correct 2027 arena.
Choose Arizona if your main objective is being present for the decisive championship weekend. Choose both cities only if you want the extended story and have the time and budget for two separate visits. The gap between the published blocks does not mean PBR is presenting a continuous fortnight of ticketed Finals competition. Make accommodation and transport decisions around the actual performances you hold, not the full span from the first date to the last.
The PBR calendar helps place the Finals at the end of the individual campaign. It also helps avoid confusing a team homestand or another bull-riding event in either region with the World Finals session you intended to buy. Names, dates and venues should agree on the order confirmation before you commit to the rest of the trip.
What the Finals decide and what still needs confirmation
The World Finals conclude the Unleash The Beast individual championship. That is a different competition from PBR Teams, even though many of the same riders compete in both. A rider's team affiliation can help you recognise him, but the team-game result is not the result being decided by a World Finals ride. Follow the individual standings and the published Finals rules.
The host announcement establishes where the 2027 competition takes place; it does not by itself establish every qualification rule, round allocation or points award. PBR's 2026 Finals explainer is explicitly a previous-year guide. Its field size, advancement rules and purse should not be silently copied into a 2027 preview. A location change and a format announcement are separate pieces of information.
That distinction matters when buying a session for a particular competitive moment. A ticket promises admission to its listed performance, subject to the event's terms; it does not promise that a favourite rider will qualify, avoid injury or appear in the concluding round. Buy because you want to watch the competition, then use the final entry list and draw to understand the matchups once they are announced.
Read the draw and standings together
A draw tells you which rider faces which bull and where that pairing falls in the order. The standings tell you what the ride could mean. A qualified ride requires eight seconds without a disqualifying touch, and its score combines the bull's performance with the rider's control. A rider who has no score on an attempt has not added a low-scoring qualified ride; he has failed to post a ride total for that attempt.

Ride points and championship standing points also need separate columns in your thinking. The first describes the judges' assessment of one completed ride. The second depends on the season's competition rules and placements. A 90-point ride does not mean the rider automatically adds exactly 90 championship points. Check the applicable points table before trying to calculate who can overtake whom.
For a useful spectator routine, note the rider's current position, read the bull's recent record and watch the attempt before judging its significance. A difficult bull can increase the scoring opportunity while also increasing the risk of a buckoff. That is a sporting tradeoff, not a guaranteed advantage. After a review or re-ride decision, wait for the official result before changing your calculations. The PBR results page provides a starting point for following completed competition rather than relying on a social clip without context.
Buying tickets for the right city and session
Begin at the official Finals hub rather than an advertisement that happens to use the event name. Its Glendale purchase route leads to Ticketmaster, while the Cowtown route leads to AXS. That difference is useful: seeing two sellers does not automatically indicate a problem, because the two venues have separate ticketing arrangements. The page you reach should still identify the city, venue, date and product you intended to select.
Single sessions, packages and the final checkout price
The Glendale ticket listing includes individual performances and a four-day package described as access to all days. Read that description in its venue context: four days at Desert Diamond Arena does not mean both cities or every activity associated with the Finals. A package should state exactly which performances it includes and whether you keep the same seat.
The Cowtown AXS series lists the four Fort Worth dates separately. Select the precise session first. Do not use a midnight timestamp attached to a multi-day package as the time the bull riding begins, and do not assume Sunday's schedule matches Thursday's. For arrival planning, read the current performance detail and your issued ticket, including the local time and any separate doors-open information.
There is no single meaningful “PBR Finals ticket price” across two arenas, several performances and different seat categories. Compare the same session, section, quantity and seller type, then compare the full displayed amount. A resale offer, a standard seat and a premium package are different products. This guide does not present an unverified starting price as a live offer; the selected ticket and final booking summary establish the amount payable.
For a group, write down two totals: admission for the chosen performances and the complete trip. Transport, parking and accommodation can change which weekend is the better value even when one ticket looks inexpensive. If your schedule allows only two Glendale sessions, a four-day package is useful only if its terms and total suit that plan. Do not pay for days simply because the word “package” sounds like a saving.
Seat choice, premium access and companions
Use the event-specific map to locate the bucking chutes and arena floor. Close seats can make the first jumps feel immediate, while elevation can help you follow the whole trip. A price tier alone does not tell you about rails, equipment or a disclosed view restriction. Check the actual section and row, and ask the seller about anything unclear before completing the order.
Premium language needs the same careful reading. A meet-and-greet, hospitality area, tour or arena-floor experience may have separate timing and conditions. Confirm whether the offer includes the main event seat or is an addition to admission. For accessible seating and companion arrangements, use the venue's appropriate booking route; an ordinary seat should not be bought on the assumption that staff can exchange it later.
The general PBR tickets guide can help with wider seller comparisons. For this event, the strongest protection against an expensive mistake is more specific: make sure every person in your party knows which city, which performance and which seat the booking actually covers.
Planning Glendale and Fort Worth as different trips
Glendale and Fort Worth require separate arrival plans. Desert Diamond Arena is at 9400 West Maryland Avenue in Glendale. Cowtown Coliseum is at 121 East Exchange Avenue in Fort Worth's Stockyards. A hotel marketed with a broad metropolitan location is not automatically convenient for the arena you need. Compare the actual journey between accommodation and venue, including how you will return after the performance.
There is also a clock difference. In May, Fort Worth observes Central Daylight Time, UTC−5, while Glendale stays on Mountain Standard Time, UTC−7. Fort Worth is two hours ahead. Put the city beside every calendar entry and distinguish a ticket's local event time from an automatically converted display. This is especially helpful when members of a travelling party are still in different states and sharing screenshots.
For Arizona, read the arena parking guidance rather than assuming admission includes a space. Its current policy describes event-dependent parking, cashless payment for on-the-day parking and restrictions on overnight parking. A pre-purchased parking pass has its own conditions; it does not automatically assign an accessible space. Arrange any particular access needs with guest services before travel.
The current bag policy allows bags up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches, whether clear or opaque, and excludes luggage. The arena also says it has no bag-check facility. That is important if you plan to go directly from an airport or leave for a flight after a session: arrange somewhere suitable for your luggage instead of bringing a travel bag to the gate. Recheck the policy nearer May because venue conditions can change.
In Fort Worth, use Cowtown's visitor information for the correct venue and its own parking, seating and accessibility links. Do not carry a Glendale bag rule or seating assumption into a different building. If the Stockyards are part of your trip, leave space in the day to enjoy them without turning the journey to your seat into a race against the first chute opening.
For a one-weekend trip, start with the competition stage you want and then work backward to arrival and departure. For two cities, compare the cost of travelling home between the blocks with the cost of a longer stay. Neither option is automatically the better buy. Flexible accommodation conditions can be valuable while performance details develop, but read the actual cancellation terms rather than assuming “flexible” means the same thing everywhere.
Build a margin after the final session as well. The end of a sporting performance is not a reliable departure time for a flight or a long transfer. Presentations, queues and the trip back to your vehicle add to the evening. A plan that leaves you enough time to watch the last ride and the awards is usually more satisfying than one that forces a decision between the championship finish and making the airport.
Following the championship from the stands or at home
A season announcement is not a full television grid. As of October 20, 2026, the official information checked for this guide establishes the 2027 dates and venues but does not provide a verified round-by-round Finals broadcast plan. Do not buy a subscription solely because an old Finals article names a channel, or because that service carries PBR Teams. Check the competition, performance date, territory and whether the coverage is live.
The official viewing guide describes several PBR destinations and distinguishes team coverage, the PBR App and other programming. That breadth is helpful, but it also explains why “PBR is on this service” is too broad a statement for a particular Finals round. Free highlights, a scheduled channel replay and a complete live performance are different viewing experiences.
Use the TV and streaming schedule when the event approaches, then check the provider's own listing. International fans should follow the official territory guidance rather than assuming a US subscription includes the same event abroad. Test the required account and playback device before the opening presentation, especially if several people are coming over to watch.
A useful checklist before each performance
- Confirm the performance's city, date and local start time, then check any separate doors or premium-experience time.
- Have the correct ticket, seat information and return-transport plan ready if attending in person.
- Read the current draw, noting the rider-and-bull pairings rather than only the rider names.
- Look at the individual standings and the published Finals rules before making title calculations.
- After the performance, compare the official result with the scoreboard moments you remember.
That last step helps make a multi-session visit more rewarding. A rider who makes a controlled qualified ride early can still be central to the title story even if another rider creates the evening's biggest highlight. Likewise, a bull that produces a buckoff may have delivered one of the strongest animal performances of the session. Follow the whole contest instead of reducing the championship to a single viral clip.
For planning purposes, the essential decision is already clear: Fort Worth hosts the opening rounds on May 6–9, and Glendale hosts championship weekend on May 20–23. Choose your sessions around that split, and let the final ticket details and current competition announcements refine the rest. The today's events page remains useful for nearer-term bull riding while you wait for the 2027 title race to reach its decisive stage.
